Mrs. T.'s Handmade Teddy Bears, Quilts , and Craft Classes 

I started my businesses to supplement our income; so I could be home more, as my husband is disabled. I love what I do! 

I also got tired of teaching in the public schools, having my freedom of speech constantly violated, as a Christian. You see, I can't tell you about me without letting you know I am a Christian. I am also a professional and I won't push my beliefs on you. But, as a Christian, I believe it is my duty to be honest, dependable, and trustworthy. So, when I give lessons, teach crafts, etc. I will do that. If you ask me anything about whay I believe, then I will be glad to talk with you after the lessons. 

I have learned so much in the 50+ years I've been around, that I want to share it with others. I learned many homemaking skills from my mother, and from my grandma. In an age of electronics, most people don't know the basics of cooking, sewing, and crafts. Many people don't have time to teach their children things they wish they had learned, or just don't have time to do. That's fine, and I understand that. When I was a young mother, I didn't have the time or energy to do a lot of what I can do now. I enjoy visiting families from my church, doing crafts, and sewing, with their children. So I started these businesses. 

I will share with you the abilities I have, and you can decide which services for which you would like to hire me.

• I have been sewing since 1970, cooking about as long. 

• I have been playing piano since 1968. 

• I have taught many children to read well using basic phonics; based on curriculum such as 'The Writing Road to Reading', 'Phonics Made Plain' flash cards, and 'The Original McGuffey Readers'. 

• I have taught in public, and private schools, and home schooled. 

• I can make quilts, teddy bears, clothes, coffee/tea cozies, and whatever you may want. 

• I can teach a group of children of different ages and abilities; have been doing this in my church for the past year. So maybe you want to hire me to help with a birthday party? 

• I have self-taught myself how to play piano for accompaniment with church worship groups.
